Filers is in-house, open-source software for acquiring, manipulating, and administering video files. We use it, for example, to acquire video from a network of GigE cameras associated with different behavioral testing apparati in our behavioral phenotyping core, or from individual cameras used for a variety of behavioral tasks. Filers supports the merging of video streams into a common synchronized video archive for later scoring.
